Teacher of the Year

Congratulation to the Troup ISD Teacher of the Year, Mandy Lovelady! 

Mandy teaches 6th grade Science, ESL and GT classes at Troup Middle School.  She is also the TMS Cheer Coach.  This is Mandy's 2nd year in Troup and 11th year in education.  She taught PE, Math RtI,  and 1st & 2nd grades in Whitehouse ISD before coming to Troup.

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Texas, Mandy graduated from Jacksonville High School then attended Tyler Junior College, where she was an Apache Belle.  She continued her education at Stephen F. Austin University, earning a BS in Interior Design.  Mandy taught dance and designed houses for 14 years before deciding to become a teacher.  

Mandy has lived in Troup for 20 years, and will be celebrating 20 years of marriage to Don Lovelady this year. Their three children, Jace, Ty & Reece, attend Troup ISD school.  She has two step-children who live in McKinney, Blake Lovelady and his family, and Brooke Wymer and her husband.
