TMS students in the 6th grade created individual portfolios to fill a time capsule that has been sealed and stored at the school. The time capsule will be opened in August of 2044, the next occurrence of a solar eclipse visible in the United States.
Students included information about themselves such as their favorite things or plans for the future, letters to their future selves, artwork or poems, and even letters from family members.
In twenty years, when these students are close to 32 years old, they will have a reason to return to Troup Middle School and may get to watch the next eclipse with a future 6th-grade class. ☀️😎🌒
