Troup Middle School Dyslexia Services:
Our Dyslexia Program at Troup Middle School is based on the Reading By Design Curriculum: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia. Dyslexia Services will be utilized during our Tiger Time and Power Hour in 30-Minute Sessions and in accordance with each student's 504 Plan specifying their required pull-out minutes. I'm looking forward to getting to know each student and building a trusting relationship with them as we journey through our Reading By Design Curriculum.
For extra dyslexia practice, students may use Learning Ally to catch up on some good books to read. It will read your book to you!!! All you have to do is follow along ;) . Also, work on your Cursive Lettering, practice writing the Alphabet, Upper Case, and Lower Case, then practice writing 10 words from your current chapter in your book that you're reading and 1 Sentence to write in Cursive as well. Take some time to write complete sentences in cursive using correct punctuation and ending marks. Now take those 10 words you wrote in cursive and put them in Alphabetical Order.
