Ms. Rhodes

Hello everyone! My name is Kaylen Rhodes and I am the Troup Middle School assistant band director. I am a trumpet player and a graduate from Springtown High School. I earned my Associate of Arts in Music from Tyler Junior College and my Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Texas at Tyler. This is my first year of teaching, and I am so excited!

 

While in college, I preformed with the Drum Corps International Sacramento Mandarins, TJC Apache Marching Band, wind ensemble, brass quintet, trumpet ensemble, and jazz band. I am currently performing with the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra as third trumpet. I am an alumni of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Service Fraternity, and a member of Texas Music Educators Association and International Trumpet Guild.

 

I am an avid Lord of the Rings fan and when not in the band hall, I can be found reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, or working out. 

 

I am thrilled to be apart of the Troup ISD family. GO TIGERS!
